Plans are now finalised for the Ex-Luton MMC’s to transfer to Runcorn this Sunday. On the same day the Streetlights from LS will arrive at CR.

Any particular reason why Southport is being lumbered with inferior vehicles? Surely there’s enough spare vehicles around to be able to offload the awful Streetlite that no one seems to like?

Southport will be franchaised soon anyway so wont be around long

Having ridden on a few of the Streetlites on the 300, they are preferably to the ex-Luton 200MMCs.
The Streetlites are quieter and vibrate less when stopped at traffic lights or bus stops - a lot of drivers kept the engine running rather let it stop automatically.

Has Southport lost some double deckers recently only keep noticing the relocated Streetlites being allocated to duties on 47/300 Liverpool services? I knew they were getting the Streetlites but thought that they would be allocated to Southport locals.

The 300s are usual single deckers. There is only one diagram through the week that is double deck operated.
