The Edinburgh service is the extended Liverpool - Newcastle service, so no change in the fact it won't stop between Liverpool - Manchester. Apologies for slightly blurring the franchises here but the only gains on the Chat Moss line will be the 2 Northern Connect services (Liverpool - Leeds and Chester - Leeds*) as the Liverpool - Scarborough service will take the path of the current Airport service (which as I understand it is diverted via Warrington).
