On high frequency routes bunching isn't too uncommon at certain times of the day, regardless of types used. You have to factor in things like traffic, the bus in front picking up at every stop which in turn allows the bus behind to catch up much easier and things like that. Oh Superman where are you now, when everything's gone wrong somehow, the men of steel, the men of power, are losing control by the hour.
