I am not sure how clever an idea it is for Stagecoach to seemingly be set to replace the older Scanias at RF on 38s and 41s with Darts as these will cause capacity issues at busy times.

On the subject of what's likely to be shipped out either in the short term or over the next few months - one would imagine that the only buses Stagecoach will view as long-term members of its fleet, either at Chester/Rock Ferry or elsewhere, will be the 05-plate Scanias at RF and the various Volvos; perhaps some of the X- and Y-reg L94s also although these themselves are non-standard within Stagecoach.

The rest - manky old L113s which will soon all be over 15 years old, a handful of Darts and a number of Solos which are coming to their end of their lives - I would imagine will have departed by this time next year. It is possible, I suppose, that some of the kit will only be technically hired by Stagecoach from First and returned for use elsewhere as and when the former can obtain vehicles of their own to replace them.

One thing I am sure of is that it's a very busy few months at Chester and Rock Ferry in prospect.
