What seems to be listed as route 5 (Liverpool to Sandhills) is what I assume is the 2 now.....can't see any reason to renumber it as there doesn't seem to be a route 2 anywhere else.....

I'm confused by this one now, the 2 goes down Regent Road [which is parallel to Great Howard Street] no regular route has gone down Great Howard Street since Avon went belly up [was 135/235] & Great Howard Street is an awkward area to serve anyway with it being mostly Industrial area, the 136 goes that was but only 3 to 4 journey's in both peaks Monday to Friday

All needs checking.
One basic error noticed straight away, showing under Liverpool -
81/81A does not run from the City Centre to Liverpool Airport. It runs from Bootle via Queens Drive, Woolton & Hunts Cross to Liverpool Airport

Although not a Metro route, the Southport - Preston route is also numbered 2 which is probably the reason for the change of number for the City Centre - Sandhills route.

Why does it take franchising to make these improvements, shouldn't Merseytravel have made these changes already and saved the region millions of pounds?

Also, no mention of bus routes from outside of Merseyside that would need permits, i.e., 2/X2 (Preston-Southport-Liverpool), 347 (Chorley-Southport), 375/385 (Southport-Wigan) and 79C/82A (Runcorn-Liverpool)
