RE: D&G Bus - 33109 - 07/11/2025 12:25 Recent changes are a couple of transfers from longton to macclesfield depots. 107 - YX14RZA 113 - SN11FFW 113 is an ex orange 1 Enviro200 recently repainted, currently on a short loan to crewe for a few weeks then transferring to macc. RE: D&G Bus - knutstransport - 07/11/2025 16:48 I reported noticing 107 had come back up north a couple of weeks ago. Macc will need to have an additional 2 vehicles in service on weekdays from later this month. Solo 117 failed again today. It doesn't seem to be the most reliable vehicle. RE: D&G Bus - knutstransport - 10/11/2025 12:45 I don't know if it's the drivers not setting destination boards correctly or if D&G are putting faulty vehicles out. Last week I saw 3015 tracking on the first 89 journey while showing Not in Service. Today I've seen 102 tracking on a 88 journey while showing Rail Replacement on the display. RE: D&G Bus - knutstransport - 10/11/2025 17:14 It seems the 90/91/93A/93C are now interworked. There's a photo of vehicle 41 on the 93A on Facebook, even though that route isn't tracking yet. So the full range of D&G's vehicles on that new route today - 41 their oldest vehicle at Macc, to 5002 their joint newest MMC at Macc. RE: D&G Bus - knutstransport - 12/11/2025 17:59 5205 now in a promotional livery for the Cheshire East 16-19 bus pass. https://www.flickr.com/photos/198115627@N06/54919017141/in/album-72177720327782697 So which route is it out of today? The 82 that doesn't go into Cheshire East! You can't expect Crewe depot staff to allocate a branded bus to the right routes, that's far beyond their capabilities. It's exactly why D&G will forever remain a low quality operator because their staff can't do basic things such as allocate properly. Looking at 113, it seems to be a strange one. 111 and 112 both appear to still be at Adderley Green in Orange 1 livery, but working different Staffordshire services. 503 did recently spend time at Macclesfield, and is in the new red and blue livery. Yet they decided to repaint an older bus to send to Macc. RE: D&G Bus - iMarkeh - 02/12/2025 18:46 D&G has won a new route 340 in Shropshire, due to start 5th January with 2 buses required. Operating every 60-90 minutes between Whitchurch, Market Drayton and Wellington. Not sure which depot will operate it, I presume we will find out shortly when it gets registered. https://newsroom.shropshire.gov.uk/wp-content/uploads/340-bus-service-timetable.pdf RE: D&G Bus - knutstransport - 02/12/2025 18:55 Whitchurch is closest to Crewe. Wellington is closest to Cannock. It looks like Chaserider have lost the 100 Telford route to Arriva Midlands, but still have the Travel Telford branded buses. Maybe the 340 would be an option for utilising them? RE: D&G Bus - knutstransport - 03/12/2025 10:50 Just looking at the 340 timetable again I think they've got a couple of options: 1. The 340 departure times from Whitchurch are similar to the 41 departure times. So there's options for interworking, or sending 2 relief drivers between Crewe and Whitchurch in the same vehicle. 2. If there's no vehicle swaps the bus that starts the day in Whitchurch, will terminate at Market Drayton at the end of the day, which makes operation from Adderley Green seem a possibility. Of course knowing D&G they might split the route between depots (like they do with the 42 and 85) or they might start by operating it from one depot and then switch to another at a later date. |
