Updated 12 December 2014 - Further service reductions at Bolton have permitted Myllenniums 2454, 2464 and 2474 to transfer to Green Lane.
Updated 06 October 2014 - The latest bus to depart is Myllennium 2464, which has joined the bulk of its sisters at Green Lane. DB250 4171 has recently returned to Bolton after an extensive programme of repair.
Updated 11 August 2014 - The refurbishment of Bolton's Pulsars to Sapphire standard has been completed, with 2678-81/83-88 and 2995-99 now boasting improved interiors with leatherette seating, Wi-Fi, plug and USB sockets and an audio-visual system giving details of stops en route. These buses now wear Sapphire livery and are branded for the 362 and 575 routes. Following completion of this work, the loaned buses have departed: Wright Commanders 2504-2513 to Speke and the Pulsars back to their original homes of Green Lane and Wythenshawe. 2677 and 2682 retain the standard Arriva interior and act as spare buses. The replacement of the ALX400 fleet at Bolton has finally been concluded now that Plaxton President bodied DAF DB250s 4183-85 have arrived.
Updated 15 May 2014 - Two allow Bolton's Pulsar and Pulsar 2 fleets to be converted to Sapphire standards, 16 buses have been acquired on loan. These comprise Commanders 2504-2513 which were recently displaced from Bangor depot, Pulsars 2670/71/73/74/75 from Green Lane and Pulsar 2 3103 from Wythenshawe. As a result, almost all of the existing Pulsars (2678-2688 and 2995-2999) have temporarily left the depot for refurbishment.
DAF DB250 4065 has also departed for open-top conversion at St Helens bodyshop. The three remaining ALX400-bodied DB250s are due to be replaced with 4183-85 once these are refurbished.
24 March 2014 - Following their displacement at Bangor, several Wright Commanders have arrived at Bolton. Confirmed arrivals are 2505, 2508, 2511 and 2513 with more expected.
These will allow some of Bolton's Wright Pulsars to be refurbished to Sapphire standards.
18 March 2014 - DAF DB250s 4172 and 4178 have now arrived along with 4182 which had been at Speke, completing the modernisation of the school double deckers at Bolton. The remaining four DLAs are expected to depart imminently.
